It's the November Roller Coaster Ride!

Well, here we go… the annual November roller coaster of temperatures. Mild temps one day, cold the next!  After a very mild weekend, old man winter is threatening to show up again the end of the week with snow forecast for Sunday.  Then, you guessed it, mild temps again.  I guess it won't be long until it's finally cold enough for Wisp Resort to be blowing snow and welcoming the winter weather enthusiasts!  In case you've forgotten, here's what we looked like last year when Wisp first started blowing snow.

While we are awaiting old man winters arrival, be sure to check out the other happenings around the Deep Creek Lake and Garrett County area.  The main event for the month is the Annual Festival of Trees happening November 29 & 30 at the Garrett County Fairgrounds. There are happenings for the entire family and will conclude with the Grand Finale Live Auction where you can bid on the donated trees and gingerbread entries. All proceeds will benefit the local Dove Center, so have fun and donate to a worthy cause all at the same time!

Also during that weekend, on the 30th at 7 pm, the Honi Honi will be hosting their annual tree lighting ceremony. If you can't be here that weekend, don't forget to stop by and take a look at their tree! It's an awesome sight for sure.

Something new to the area recently - Tractor Supply has opened in Oakland! And, the parking lot seems to be filled to the brim every time I've driven by, so that's good news. Don't forget to stop in and see what all they have to offer.  You just never know what you may need.

And, lastly, if you are thinking of purchasing a home in our area, be sure to drop by the Railey Realty website for an update to the local market conditions.
